Through orders issued by California Supreme Court Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye, California Courts continue to function remotely due to COVID-19 concerns. Many civil proceedings are being conducted via videoconference. San Francisco and Alameda Superior Courts are currently open with limited services and have recently resumed in-person jury trials while continuing to enforce social distancing procedures. Unless given special authorization, The Northern District of California Courthouses remain closed to the public. Please see each courtâs website for more information.
